About the Car
I’ve always liked the TR6. I had a TR7 for while when serving the Germany, great fun but it wasn’t quite the same. It was only in later life I had the funds to invest in a TR6.
We were away for the weekend and on a whim looked up cars for sale while driving home on Sunday. Tried one in Trowbridge but it wasn’t quite right. Found another in Salisbury and raced down to take a look before they went home. 10 minutes later we paid the deposit.
You are supposed to do all sorts of checks and whatever before purchasing but the car looked good, drove well and put a big grin on my face. So we did none of that.
Two weeks later with a fresh MOT we picked the car up and headed home.
Next job was to join the TR Register and the Windsor Forest TR Group. Wasn’t long before we were taking part in runs, attending car shows and even the odd weekend away.
